Cracked Glass
Cracked Glass is inspired by fracture lines on glass, like you might see if you accidentally stepped on a strand of multicoloured holiday lights. This combination of elongated stitches and bias garter stitch patterning is straightforward, but interesting enough to hold your attention as it distorts each colour in the sequence.
Designed for 24 stripes in fingering weight, this rectangular scarf or cowl is purling-free and lots of fun to make. All cables are worked without a cable needle. The pattern includes corresponding written instructions for the chart, as well as links to video tutorials for many techniques, so the pattern is accessible to an intermediate knitter.
Grab that beautiful advent calendar you've been dying to open! This pattern produces a generous-length scarf or cowl that you can work on a little bit every day until the box is empty.
No advent calendar? No problem! Gather up your leftovers and minis; at less than 10g per stripe, the possibilities for yarn combinations are endless!
